Report and Accounts of the Taipas Turitermas Cooperative for the year 2016, approved unanimously and by acclamation at the General Assembly.
On March 8th, the General Assembly of the Taipas Turitermas Cooperative, CIPRL, met to review and vote on the Balance Sheet, the Board of Directors' Accounts Report, and the Opinion of the Fiscal Council, referring to the year 2016.
Ricardo Costa, President of the board, stated that this exercise has some significance as it is the first full year of work after the renovation of the Banhos Novos building. Because 2016, as expected, was a year of growth and consolidation.
He highlighted that, overall, the volume of business grew by 66%, with a decidedly positive final result. This fact is truly significant as it provides encouragement and certainty regarding the sustainability of this project, which has considerable importance in supporting the population and preserving the heritage of Caldas das Taipas. All this with a minimum of public investment.
He further noted that 2016 marks the beginning of the requalification work on the Camping Park and the Sports Complex, an important facility for the village and its communities and associations. He informed that the Board of Directors of the Taipas Turitermas Cooperative has invited all the village associations to gather their contributions, and meetings are already taking place with association leaders to draft regulations for the use of this new space (sports complex).
Finally, the 2016 report and accounts were unanimously approved by acclamation by all members present at the Assembly.
