Physiotherapy
35 years dedicated to treating and restoring your mobility!
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy, according to the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT), is the service provided by physiotherapists to individuals and populations with the aim of developing, maintaining and restoring functional capacity and maximum movement throughout life.
It is, therefore, a health science dedicated to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dysfunctions and injuries of human movement through different techniques, depending on the pathology, such as physical means (ice, moist heat, paraffin, hot/cold water), electrotherapy (analgesic and excitomotor currents, ultrasound, laser, microwaves, short waves, shock waves), massage, and kinesiotherapy (movement therapy).
Physiotherapists are focused on identifying and maximizing quality of life and movement potential in the areas of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, habilitation, and rehabilitation.
These areas encompass not only physical well-being, but also psychological, emotional, and social well-being.
Physiotherapy sessions specialize in the following areas:
Neurology;
Orthopedics;
Respiratory;
- Sports;
Geriatrics;
- Pediatrics;
Hydrotherapy;
Clinical Pilates.
HEALTH, REHABILITATION AND SPORTS MEDICINE
Trying to adapt our offering to current rehabilitation practices, a gym was specifically created from scratch in the new building, equipped with functional training equipment, cardiorespiratory reconditioning equipment, and isoinertial muscle strengthening devices, which allow for targeted muscle strengthening for specific movements and focused primarily on the most important potentiation – eccentric strengthening.
