The first children's workshop, "Films are Born from Images," was held last Saturday, May 13th, at 10 am, at the Guimarães film club headquarters, in a partnership between Banhos Velhos and Shortcutz Guimarães. The activity aimed to introduce the children present to some editing techniques from the audiovisual world, namely film and photography, through hands-on projects. Several short films were also shown in stop-motion and 3D recreation.
The Banhos Velhos program continues this weekend with a double feature: on Friday the 19th, there will be a discussion about the literary centenary of the author Ferreira de Castro, with the presence of the bookseller and owner of the Snob bookstore, Duarte Pereira, Professor Dr. António José Oliveira, and moderated by Professor and director of the Reflexo newspaper, Alfredo Oliveira; On Saturday the 20th, the first play of the year will take place, with the ATRAMA collective, which will present the play "Maior Castigo" based on summaries by the author Raúl Brandão. Both events are free of charge.
