Starting April 3rd, Taipas Termal will have the renowned otolaryngologist, Dr. Fausto Fernandes, as part of its excellent medical staff.
Dr. Fausto Fernandes needs no introduction; numerous testimonials describe him as one of the best specialists in his field, highlighting his human connection and professionalism as valuable assets for top-tier health and well-being.
He was the founder of the otorhinolaryngology service at the Hospital da Senhora da Oliveira, in Guimarães, making it a national reference. It was also at that hospital that the renowned otolaryngologist developed his 25-year career, having served there as Director of the Otorhinolaryngology Service and Clinical Director.
He was also involved in obtaining the Quality and Accreditation standards that JCI (international quality accreditation by the Joint Commission International) awarded to that Unit.
Since 2016 he has served as Clinical Director of Hospital Luz Guimarães. He is a lecturer and head of the Otorhinolaryngology department at the School of Medicine of the University of Minho, a member of the board of the Galician Society of Otorhinolaryngology (since 2005), and an International Member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
