The upcoming weekend is packed with two initiatives that will mark the closing of the 2022 cultural agenda.
Next Saturday, September 17th, Samuel Úria returns to Banhos Velhos to present his latest work of original songs. Musician Samuel Úria, a member of the FlorCaveira movement (which originated in 1999), known as one of the most influential singer-songwriters of today, will be on the Banhos Velhos stage to close out the cultural agenda for 2022.
"Post-War Songs" is the title Samuel Úria chose for his latest album, although in this case, "war" is, as always, internal and spiritual.
The show will take place at the Taipas Termal Sports Complex at 10 PM, and admission is free.
The day before, on September 16th, there will be a discussion about the Centenary of the Conventional Sunday Rest. This discussion, led by historian António José de Oliveira, will feature the exhibition and analysis of photographs taken on September 17th, 1922, at the Grande Hotel Vilas in the garden adjacent to the hotel and the "Banhos Velhos" (Old Baths). Participation is free.
Samuel Úria closes the 2022 Cultural Season at Banhos Velhos.
