Taipas Termal, the brand of the Cooperative that manages the Taipas Thermal Baths, has unveiled the first products in its new line of natural cosmetics. The Treatment Soap and the Aromatherapy Soap are the first two products in this line, developed from thermal water.

The president of the Taipas Termal administration highlights the realization of a project that took four long years to finally reach the public. Ricardo Costa emphasized the original idea of utilizing an endogenous resource such as thermal water, with the aim of making the most of natural resources and simultaneously promoting the region, essentially the town of Caldas das Taipas and the municipality of Guimarães.
“There is an important factor like water, whose therapeutic use dates back to Roman times and which has been used to treat respiratory problems, osteoarticular diseases and skin diseases. What we envisioned was a way to further enhance and commercialize this product, meeting a high level of demand.” Satisfied, Ricardo Costa points out that, with this new use of thermal water, “Taipas Termal now has its own brand in the area of cosmetic products, in addition to selling the water. We seek to work beyond product quality, using our thermal water and completely natural ingredients, also combining design and an effective marketing strategy.”
The product preview took place at the thermal spa, which dates back to 1908 and will foreseeably be renamed Balneário Augusto Monteiro Dias de Castro, in honor of the institution's Clinical Director who passed away in February of this year and who was one of the main promoters of the reopening of the thermal baths in the 1980s.
On Saturday, at the Vila Flor Cultural Center, Taipas Termal promoted a dance and music show, "PortVcale na Taipas Termal," which marked the official start of the public sale of soaps, featuring Public Relations representative Cláudia Jacques.
Taipas Termal, which is already working on internationalizing the brand through these products, intends to launch a Moisturizing Cream and an Anti-wrinkle Cream in the near future, the development of which is already in its final stages.
