The Taipas Termal Nursing Center has developed a free vaccination campaign aimed at preventing the flu. With this campaign, simply bring your vaccine to the Taipas Termal facilities and we will administer it free of charge.
Influenza is an acute viral disease that predominantly affects the respiratory tract and generally occurs during the winter, hence the term "seasonal." To date, influenza activity in Portugal has been moderate; however, according to the Directorate-General of Health (DGS), an increase in the number of cases is expected in the coming weeks, especially during the autumn and winter months.
Influenza vaccination is strongly recommended for priority target groups, such as people aged 65 and over, chronically ill and immunocompromised patients aged 6 months and over, pregnant women, healthcare professionals, and other caregivers.
This campaign is valid until the end of 2023, with availability every morning, subject to prior scheduling.
