The Director of the Orthopedics Department at Taipas Termal, Dr. Hélder Pereira, was distinguished as an Honorary Member of the Alma Branca/Real Madrid Association, in a ceremony attended by tennis player João Sousa.
The Alma Branca/Real Madrid Association has distinguished Dr. Hélder Pereira, Director of the Orthopedics Department at Taipas Termal, as an Honorary Member in recognition of his contribution to launching this project, which aims to support underprivileged children through a socio-sports school operating in the Guimarães area.
The award ceremony took place last Sunday – February 28th – during an event dedicated to “Solidarity Day,” where Dr. Hélder Pereira was represented by Professor João Pedro Pereira, General Secretary of Taipas Termal and Director of the Department of Functional Rehabilitation and Sports Conditioning.
To mark its fourth anniversary, the Alma Branca Association held a public session, notably featuring the presence of the project's main ambassador, tennis player João Sousa, who shared the values of this project in supporting the development of young people.
Values such as leadership, teamwork, camaraderie, commitment, solidarity, health, respect, discipline, and universality are the hallmarks of the Alma Branca Association, based in Pevidém, Guimarães, which has the motto 'Education with Soul and Heart', and has signed new cooperation agreements with CERCIGUI, the Fermentões School Group, Casa do Povo de Fermentões, and EB1 de Gondar.
