Taipas Turitermas has transitioned to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
The Thermal Cooperative holds Quality Management System Certification in the area of healthcare provision, namely physical medicine and rehabilitation, balneotherapy, respiratory tract treatments, specialist medical consultations and wellness programs, production of cosmetics based on thermal water, and marketing of products under the Taipas Thermal brand and accessories used in treatments.
APCER, the certification company, highlighted the following as strengths of the Thermal Cooperative: the institution's built and active heritage, the technical competence and involvement of its employees in the quality management system, the diversity of products and services that support the Cooperative's sustainability in the market, existing agreements with the National Health System, ADSE, SAMS QUADROS, MÉDIS and protocols with various public and private entities, and also the competence and availability of all members of the (non-executive) Board of Directors of Taipas Termal.
The ISO 9001 standard is an international benchmark for Quality Management System Certification. The new version of ISO 9001:2015 positions it within the organization's efforts towards sustainable development and promotes it as a tool to improve overall performance. It encourages increased focus from internal and external stakeholders on adopting a risk-based approach to quality management and emphasizes the importance of adopting a Quality Management System (QMS) as a strategic organizational decision.
