It was on World Water Day that Taipas Termal hosted the Atlantic Axis Thermal Forum, welcoming representatives from municipalities with thermal spas, including Chaves, Vizela, Santo Tirso, Santa Maria da Feira and Grove.

In order to boost the promotion of thermal tourism in the territory covered by the Atlantic Axis, given the potential of this natural resource, the Atlantic Axis Thermal Network (Thermal Forum) was created. Its strategic points will include, among others, the promotion of bio-healthy habits, the creation of a thermal visitor card to encourage loyalty among users, collaborative research with universities, joint promotion of thermal destinations, securing funding from European programs and plans, and training and increasing the visibility of its own resources, both thermal and historical/patrimonial.

This working meeting, which took place in Balneário Taipense, discussed topics such as agreements, protocols and new memberships, the proposed action and financing program, among other fundamental issues for the success of this thermal network.

In the words of the representative of the Municipality of Guimarães and President of the Board of Directors of Taipas Termal, Ricardo Costa, "the work that this thermal network carries out is another important step towards the promotion of the territories covered by the Atlantic Axis," he also highlighted that "all resources are important to promote the Thermal Spas and the territory where they are located."
