Ricardo Costa highlights the combined efforts between structures in the Iberian Peninsula.

The President of the Taipas Turitermas Cooperative, Dr. Ricardo Costa, was one of the participants in the “VI Congress of Sports Management: Sport and Thermalism”, which took place on March 11th and 12th in Ourense (Spain), and brought together some of the best specialists in the Iberian Peninsula in Thermal Tourism Management and Sports Performance, following a new paradigm that relates the areas of sport and thermalism.

Organized by AGAXEDE – the Galician Association of Sports Managers – this symposium “allowed for an interesting exchange of experiences and closer ties with other structures involved in the management of thermal spas in our neighboring country, Spain, which can have beneficial consequences for the future, as there are always common goals that can lead to great achievements if we can work together, particularly in the area of thermal tourism,” pointed out the President of the thermal cooperative, Dr. Ricardo Costa.

Areas of activity such as tourism and rural tourism companies, sports services, professional physical activity and sports services, as well as physiotherapy, were some of the topics discussed.

Interestingly, Taipas Termal has a strong presence in all the areas covered, notably through its recently opened Medical Clinic focused on Functional Rehabilitation and Sports Conditioning, supported by a multidisciplinary team dedicated to various groups, from degenerative pathologies and sports traumatology to the optimization of high-performance athletes.
