Taipas Termal present at the National Podiatry Congress

The 11th National Podiatry Congress, organized by the Portuguese Podiatry Association, took place in Porto on April 15th and 16th.

Among the speakers at this congress were Dr. Hélder Pereira, Dr. Antônio Castro e Cunha, and Dr. Emanuel Matos, physicians from the Taipas Termal International Traumatology Center.

The first day of the congress was marked by a presentation by Dr. Emanuel Matos, a podiatrist, who spoke about Podopostural Assessment – ​​New Challenges. The following day, presentations were given by doctors Hélder Pereira, Director of the Orthopedics Department at Taipas Termal, and António Castro e Cunha, Clinical Director of the Taipas Termal Health Clinic. Dr. Hélder Pereira presented innovations in the treatment of ankle instability, including the technique recently published in "Arthroscopy" developed at the Póvoa de Varzim Hospital, and Dr. António Cunha addressed advances in ankle instability – post-surgical rehabilitation.

The National Podiatry Congress brought together a vast array of nationally and internationally renowned speakers and had as its main objective the updating of concepts in the areas of pediatric, sports, geriatric, clinical, surgical, biomechanical and orthopedic podiatry, podoposturology and diabetic foot.

The medical staff at Taipas Termal are constantly updating the treatments offered to address the different types of pathologies and levels of functionality of our patients.
