Guided Tour | International Day for Monuments and Sites – Heritage and Climate

The General Directorate of Cultural Heritage is once again promoting the International Day for Monuments and Sites 2022, on April 18th, under the theme: Heritage and Climate.

Following their recent participation in other editions of this initiative, and given this year's theme, the Caldelas Parish Council, the Taipas Turitermas Cooperative, and the Francisco de Holanda School Group are jointly promoting a guided tour of the Taipas thermal heritage on April 21st (Thursday).

This guided tour, led by Dr. António José de Oliveira, is aimed at students in the Geriatric Technician and Industrial Design vocational courses at the Francisco de Holanda Secondary School.

This visit will begin at 10:30 am, meeting at the headquarters of the Caldelas Parish Council, and will be entitled "A visit to the thermal heritage of Caldas das Taipas". The planned itinerary will begin at the painting by Mário Dias de Castro located in the meeting room of the Caldelas Parish Council, followed by the so-called "Old Baths", the "New Baths" and the Altar of Trajan.
