The Taipas Turitermas Cooperative signed a protocol valid for the 2016/2017 season with the Taipense Recreational Activities Center (CART).
Last Friday, the President of the Taipas Turitermas Cooperative, Ricardo Costa, and his counterpart from CART, Antonio Alberto Lima Pereira, officially celebrated this cooperation. With this partnership, Taipas Termal secures the naming rights for the main roller hockey team in all its games; and provides key support to the first roller hockey team currently competing in the second national division of the sport.
“This partnership that was established today, but which already existed with Taipas Termal in other forms, is, in my opinion, beneficial for both parties,” says the President of CART, António Alberto Lima Pereira, in an interview at the Taipas Termal facilities.
Athletes from various levels in roller hockey and volleyball will be able to benefit from the services of the Taipas Termal Medical Health Clinic, and for the President of CART, this fact "is undoubtedly more reassuring." Athletes who previously faced difficulties in responding to injury treatment will now have crucial conditions of guarantee, thus allowing for greater stability for the Association.
“We know that if we have problems with any athlete, we will have a space and professionals who can treat and rehabilitate them,” emphasizes the President of CART.
António Lima Pereira reveals that "fans already recognize, people already recognize" the name CART/Taipas Termal. The Taipas Termal logo will be present on all equipment for the various hockey and volleyball teams, and will be most prominent on the senior team, as it will be the sole sponsor.
“The support that Taipas Termal gives us is undoubtedly fundamental for us to stabilize a team in the second division and to be able to do our job. With the difficulties we have, it is not easy to get a full-time physiotherapist at the club, and the way we can fill this gap is revealed in the excellent conditions we have here [at Taipas Termal],” concludes the Association President.
According to Ricardo Costa, President of the Taipas Turitermas Cooperative, this protocol "makes perfect sense".
"Taipas Termal has a range of facilities that allow it to address any problems that any athlete may have."

By July of next year, the construction of the multi-sports court will be finished, and according to Ricardo Costa, CART will have a surface suitable for all sports.
"The multi-sports complex serves to help Taipas Termal and to support the associations of the village and the municipality."
Regarding the Medical Clinic, a space that will be used to treat possible injuries of CART athletes, the President of the Taipas Turitermas Cooperative reassured the club's board.
“Within the cooperative, we have the best doctors, not only national but also international. We've had doctors who have operated on, among others, Pepe from Real Madrid. We even have the Ave Sports Traumatology Center, which belongs to a doctor who is part of the Cooperative, Dr. Helder Pereira. We have exceptional and unique conditions, from an infrastructural point of view; an academy to treat high-level athletes; and all the conditions to treat any type of injury.”
The President of the Board of Directors of Taipas Turitermas said that this protocol has an emotional side, referring to the fact that he was an athlete at CART and a member of its governing bodies.
“I follow this protocol from an emotional standpoint. It goes far beyond reason, although that is important in this type of situation, but emotionally I feel completely committed to this protocol,” he concluded.
